Course Information:

Course Overview
On this fun evening class you will learn and develop a range of Photography and camera skills. This will include access to and developing skills in our Darkroom and Studio including printing and lighting techniques and photography on location. You will also learn how to take a good photo and techniques around composition and image making. This is a chance for you to get creative with photography in a fun, friendly class. No previous experience necessary, but if you have you can still attend and extend your skills further. Everyone is welcome.

After The Course
You could enrol onto another Night School course or apply to progress onto our Foundation Degree in Photography

What Will I Learn
You will learn how to use a variety of processes and techniques related to photography, using a camera, studio lighting and using the darkroom. This will include exploring composition and taking good photos.

Your lecturers are specialists in developing your skills to progress to your next level - most continue to work in the Creative Industries themselves!

Teaching Learning and Assessment
Through structured, practical classroom activities and demonstrations based in our Photographic Studio and Darkroom, using a variety of Photography resources provided. You will work on specific tasks with individual support from the lecturer.

Course content/units
On this fun evening class you will develop basic Photography skills through a series of workshops. For each workshop you will discover a new technique related to creative photography, camera and darkroom skills. This will lead to you creating a final image based on a theme of your choice.
