Course Information:

Course Overview
On this fun evening class you will learn and develop basic sketching, drawing and painting skills through a series of drawing and painting workshops. For each workshop you will discover a new technique using different materials, processes and equipment. You will then be able to extend your skills further leading to you creating a final image based on a theme of your choice. This is a chance for you to get creative with pencils, charcoal and paints in a fun, friendly class. No previous experience necessary, but if you have you can still attend and extend your skills. Everyone is welcome.,

After The Course
You could enrol onto another Night School course or apply to progress onto our Level 3+ Pre-Degree Foundation Diploma in Art and Design.

What Will I Learn
You will learn how to use a variety of materials, processes, tools and techniques related to drawing and painting. This will include exploring mark making, composition, colour, various styles, still-lifes and landscapes.

Your lecturers are specialists in developing your skills to progress to your next level - most continue to work in the Creative Industries themselves!

Teaching Learning and Assessment
Through structured, practical classroom activities and demonstrations in our Art and Design Studio, using a variety of drawing and painting resources provided. You will work on specific tasks with individual support from the lecturer.
