Our Lecturers
All our lecturers are maths specialists with many years experience of teaching adults Functional Skills mathematics so you will be in safe hands.

Teaching Learning and Assessment
City and Guilds FS Maths is a flexible and bite size QCF Qualification. It is delivered in small groups in a way that meets your needs, developing fluency in maths whilst building confidence and a positive attitude to learning. You will progress through four areas of study: Number, Measure Shape and Space, Handling Data and Mental Maths. We will assess you to discover which level is right for you and then you will sit 2 exams at the end of your course. We will teach you in a fun relaxed and supportive environment where your maths skills will be free to grow.

Our small friendly FREE classes are for adults who want to get a qualification in Maths in a supportive environment. Don’t worry if you feel nervous about coming back into education - our team of supportive and professional staff will support you to achieve your qualification at a pace that is right for you.


Just making the decision to do something to improve your Maths skills is 90% of the job done!


There are no entry requirements and you can join these classes at any time. Just call us on 01935 423921 and we will talk with you about which class and level is right for you.



How Will I Be Assessed
You will be invited to one of our assessment events where you will be given a small assessment that will assess your current level of maths.

Entry Requirements
There are no previous qualifications required as we will place you on a level that will best support your maths needs.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this course other than a genuine desire to have better Maths skills.



Duration of this course

There is no set duration for this course, you can join at any time and keep studying until you have achieved your goal. Classes run for two hours and we have classes in the mornings, afternoons and evenings, so there is a class that is right for you!

As well as boosting your confidence, getting a qualification in Maths can help you progress on to other courses and improve your job prospects.


Improving your Maths skills may help you get a new job or move ahead in your current role.



How will I be assessed?

You will improve your Maths skills throughout the course and, when you are ready, you will take a qualification at the right level and time for you. We will be there every step of the way to help you decide what is right for you and help you achieve your goals.
