Introduction to this course

A Level Business will provide you with an excellent insight into Business and enable you to develop a range of transferable, analytical and evaluative skills. You will consider what makes an entrepreneur and the actions they take to develop profitable enterprises, decision-making and the effect of external factors on Business. Finance, Marketing, Operations and Recruitment are all covered within this programme.


There are regular employer visits and an optional residential to an international business conference. Former students have travelled to Disneyland, Paris, New York, Barcelona and Berlin.


Entry Requirements

You will need five GCSEs at grade A* - C, including English and maths.


Career prospects

You can progress to university or apply for higher level trainee positions. Some students have gone on to become very successful entrepreneurs. Business graduates enter sectors including Finance, Marketing and Human Resources Management.

You will be assessed through four exams.
