Introduction to this course
This examined course is designed to introduce students to a range of biological concepts and processes. It includes looking at the structure of the body and plants, understanding how evolution works and how humans are affecting the environment. A range of compulsary practical activities are used to explore these areas in more detail.
Entry Requirements
An interest in science and biology.
How will I be assessed?
AQA - 2 exams of 1hr 45 mins in May/June + Practical activities completed throughout the year

Paper 1: Cell biology; organisation; infection and response and bioenergetics (respiration and photosynthesis)

Paper 2: Homeostasis and response; inheritance, variation and evolution and ecology
