Introduction to this course

This course is ideal for people who need an understanding of basic food safety practices in the workplace or home. It benefits anyone preparing food and covers a range of topics, including legislation, allergens, cleaning, food hazards and storage.


Please bring a form of identification with you on the day, either a driving licence or passport.


Entry Requirements

You need no formal qualifications to take this course, just a desire to learn and work safely with food.


Career prospects

When you have successfully completed this course, you will be trained in the safe preparation, use and storage of food and able to apply for higher level courses or job roles where this knowledge is beneficial.


With further training and experience in Hospitality, Professional Cookery or Food & Beverage Service, you may be able to progress to a range of food-related roles in industry.
